We also offer this engine in a milder Pro-Street version and our de-tuned form with multiple cam and intake options in our other listings. Those engines are titled as our "Stage 5.5" 434 engines. They are available in a base model, turn key, or serpentine turn key. The Super Pro Street engines will have diminished drivability, and are not recommended for high mileage driving in excess of 2,000 miles per year. The engine is setup to obtain the highest practical horse power numbers for street and strip use, and they also have a very aggressive idle and overall engine tone. The Super Pro Street engines are not recommended for use in heavy cars or with overdrive transmissions, or in cars with steep gearing. Our Super Pro Street engines have several internal upgrades that our regular "Stage" series of engines do not have.
Our 434 Super Pro Street engine is setup for those wanting the best possible hp numbers available in an sbc engine at a reasonable cost. We also offer these engines with in a de-tuned version with multiple cam and intake choices tailored to your exact specifications. The carb required on this engine would need to be right at 1000-1050 cfm to make the projected hp numbers. The carbs used on the most recent ones we built were the Quick Fuel Q-1000, the Holley Black Diamond 1050 cfm model, and the Brawler 1050.
